ECOS Paints has been manufacturing environmentally friendly, zero VOC, and non-toxic paints, primers, stain & varnish, and even more since the 80s! Their products are developed from the ground up to be as safe as possible, LONG before big-box legacy paint companies like Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore started following their lead (with a frankly inferior product in almost every way)!!

ECOS Paint is not only much safer than traditional paint, but as a bonus it also covers more space with less product, so it's usually cheaper to use than the nasty stuff you can pick up at the hardware store. They also deliver the stuff right to your door so you don't even have to leave the house to lug that heavy paint all the way home. It doesn't get much better than all that!

With all that in mind, we are thrilled to partner with ECOS to solve a real world problem experienced by many painters and homeowners. Removing those pesky rings that keep the paint can lid on during shipping! They do their job well, but sometimes a little too well, making removing the rings difficult for the end user. Our specialized transit ring opener was custom-designed and 3D printed exclusively for ECOS Paints by First Coast 3D to solve this very challenge in the paint industry. 

Our ergonomic tool design features optimized leverage points and grip surfaces that make ring removal quick and effortless, reducing hand strain and potential injuries for paint store employees, contractors, and home owners painting their own homes. We designed it to perfectly fit within the lid ring itself during transit and be easily removed upon receipt.

We optimized the model and print profile to produce these at scale for ECOS Paints with consistent quality and high durability, and have been proudly doing so for years!
